What is God’s liberating power? Over the years, as I have studied scripture, I’ve noticed the common theme of God’s liberating people from captivity. You can’t read very far into the gospels without being confronted with Jesus liberating people from all kinds of things, including illness, disease, demonic oppression, and religious oppression. So, how do we understand these things today?
