Mission Back To Guatemala
I’m heading back to Guatemala this week to visit my mission partner and friends Dana, Damaris, and Noah!
Cole Falise, one of my high school bible students from Smith Prep Academy, joins me on this trip. When I told my class that I was heading to Guatemala, without hesitation, he said, “I want to go!” I loved his enthusiasm. So I thought to myself, why not!
Our mission is to help set up a School of Ministry for a small village in Aguacatan, Guatemala. This community is in northern Guatemala, close to the Mexico and Guatemala border. A group of pastors has been ministering to several churches in the area, and they reached out to Damaris, asking for help with discipleship training.
Because they do not have access to internet services, they can’t merely log into a website to participate in online training. To meet this challenge, I’m bringing a complete biblical training curriculum loaded on tablets that can be shared with the pastors to answer this need. The curriculum is being provided for free by ThirdMill.org, and the tablets from Cru’s ministry, the Jesus Film.
I’m also assisting Dana and Damaris in setting up a podcast studio to help Dana record essential bible and theological training in Spanish. Even though the Internet is widely available in Central and South America, Christian Spanish language publications are scarce. So we’re going to start producing and publishing free lessons and training.
Wrapping up our trip, we’ll visit the new ministry building constructed at the city dump community and then attend church on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
All said it’s going to be a busy trip.
Prayer needs
Please pray for traveling mercies. Going to Guatemala is always an experience in itself. So, we need God’s grace to get there.
Health is always a concern. The last time I went, I came home very sick. Please pray for our health.
Financial needs
Even though the curriculum and tablets were free, airline tickets and car fuel is not. So, if you would like to partner with me to further God’s Kingdom in Central America, please prayerfully consider donating to my ministry. The cost of the trip is budgeted for $1,000. Your gift is tax-deductible through Reach North America, Inc.

God’s work is never done. It won’t be done until Christ Jesus returns. Until then, all God requires is faithfulness to do the work.
Here’s to the Kingdom. Let’s go do the work!
