To better understand why this issue matters, I zero in on the major problem every parent faces, we are on our own. Because our society has fractured and we no longer have any agreement on morals, our children are left on their own. What does this mean for us parents? We have to be trained on the different ways of rewarding good behavior and discouraging poor behavior.
B.F. Skinner’s quote is right on point: “We reward people. We reinforce behavior.”
